The purpose of the association is to promote contemporary music from the 60s onwards, especially the former group „Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention“.
The purpose of the statutes is realized in particular by raising funds for corresponding concerts and events, especially to promote the understanding of music among young people.
The Arf Dossier is probably the longest-running fanzine in the world. It has been published four times a year without interruption for more than a quarter of a century. Peter Görs, one of the founders of the Zappanale Festival, is in charge.
